The ability to go from the underwater to dry land has major evolutionary benefits, one of which is an extensive social network! 

Picture it: in the morning, our amphibious friend hits the pond for caramel macchiatos and crosswords with some goldfish. A little later, he's hanging out at a nest-warming party for a Morepork (it's a type of owl! Look it up)! In the afternoon we're talking about a game of Connect-Four over at the the eels' place; and finally, s'mores! With snails! 

Yeah, being a Frog is pretty great, and the next best thing to being one is hugging one! Snuggle that Squishy! It's just a good social move.
